These are the news Cambodian must worry about.

_ Last year Samsung and Vietnam agreed to new high-tech electronic plant in South Vietnam for 2 billion US dollars.

_ This year, Samsung is proposing to invest in North Vietnam another huge high-tech electronics plant for 2.5 billion US dollars.

(Source is withheld until American news is publishing.)

_ Vietnamese workers in several Samsung high-tech plants are numbering a couple thousand, yet they produce more than twice Cambodia's gross national products. (34 billion vs. 15 billion).

_ Each Vietnamese worker there is getting free meal and free room as well as a salary of 200-500 dollars a month. (Their free rooms look like hotel rooms!)

So, how can Cambodia compete if Cambodians are still suffer massively at the garment factories with low wages? And why do they keep feinting en mass?

You all know about Chins's trick in real estate right? Nah, you don't. Let me explain.

Chinese real estate investors will chose a prime land location, then pay bribe for the corrupt officials (either CPP or CNRP, depend who has the control over that plot of land.) Then the Chinese developers can buy the land for an average price.

Build up the area, make it nice. After pouring in materials, labors, the land with the new buildings will worth a lot more, more than 10 times the original values.

Some Khmers who live on the land refuse to sell the land will be evicted by the corrupt Cambodian government. Even if you accepted the puny payout, you still face the disruption of your livelihood. Your little shops, your little service joints are wiped out in the name of progress. You will fall into despair and poverty if you cannot find new livelihood, new jobs, new income.

Current Cambodia's economy is being pumped up with these property development. They look good on numbers because of the pumped up land value. They do not bear any real jobs.

Look at the real jobs in Vietnam. Click the below links and see.

Do a google image search for "Samsung Vietnam worker". See for yourselves. Those are the real paying jobs. Those pay 2-3 times the salary of Cambodian garment workers. And those jobs also provide free meals and room. That makes them 5-7 times better right?
