If Angkor Wat was built to portray heaven on earth (Mount Meru) I came to some understanding that Hinduism believed in an enclosed earth. As the earth is surrounded by water, so the moats surrounding Angkor Wat is to represent this reality. If I'm not mistaken Hinduism cosmology believe in a flat plane & enclosed earth - meaning, there are no planets outside the enclosed earth, what we see are all there is. Interestingly enough I read portion from the book of Enoch that could fitly resemble the lay out of Angkor Wat when Enoch approach the realm of the Most High God. I'm not endorsing Hinduism by saying this but I will say this...In ancient times people were closer to the Truth that proceeded from the Creator of heaven and earth. When I say ancient times I mean to the time of Buddha birth and beyond that. Reality is...there is no civilization that is more older than the other because we all proceeded from the descendants of Noah until the division of the nations. This explains all beliefs parallel each other some have more twisted then others. Now with time and space from what was in the past behind us some are more off course and became corrupt in their beliefs. And it will continue so until the Set Time when True God of mankind will bring all things to his order as he intended when he established heaven and earth.
