Hanoi insists on feasibility studies, transparency on this proposed canal project or its likely impact upon the environment and local livelihood, yet Vietnam seems happy to exclude all third-party involvement from the process of border delineation with Cambodia as well as engaging in unprecedented environmental destruction that accompanies its logging activities, particularly, in ELC areas under its control.
