...and we know who stand to benefit the most from such scenario - 'civil war' - i.e. the same party that have been pulling strings behind the scenes for the last sixty years or so.
The Cambodian people are being forced to swallow this fate of either following Laos's example of surrendering her national sovereignty under this slogan of "Thank-you Peace", Pol Pot or another civil war that either result in another Pol Pot scenario or the former one.
'Real politik' for the Hun clan couldn't be more straight forward: keep the status quo created by the experiences of the 'civil war' and Pol Pot in the seventies i.e holding on to the 'friendship' that has elevated them to unaccountable power in the first place as well as ensuring they remain there indefinitely regardless of the Cambodian people's wishes and aspirations.
In other words, anything at all but genuine peace and democracy.

ក្រុមអ្នកជំនាញ ព្រមានថា បើរដ្ឋាភិបាលនៅតែបន្តបណ្ដែតបណ្ដោយឱ្យកើតមានសន្តិភាពបែបហិង្សានេះតទៅទៀត នោះកម្ពុជាងាយនឹងរងគ្រោះធ្លាក់ចូលក្នុងអន្ទាក់នៃភ្នក់ភ្លើងសង្គ្រាមស៊ីវិលសាជាថ្មី ពោលគឺជាជនរងគ្រោះនៃពាក្យ «អរគុណសន្តិភាព» នេះឯង៕
