U.S. state secretary to visit Cambodia
PHNOM PENH, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will pay an official visit to Cambodia later this month to boost bilateral ties, Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday.
The visit scheduled for Jan. 25-26 is made at the invitation of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong, the ministry said in a statement.
During his stay, Kerry will hold talks with Hor Namhong and pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Hun Sen, it said.
According to a statement of the U.S. State Department on Friday, Kerry will "discuss the upcoming special U.S.-ASEAN summit in Sunnylands, California and seek ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and the growing bilateral economic relationship."
