Seven Koreans injured in accident, driver killed

At least one Cambodian man died and seven Korean women were seriously injured in a road accident between a van and a truck on National Road 6 in Batheay district in Kampong Cham province on Monday.

According to the Facebook page of the police commissariat in Kampong Cham, the accident happened at about 7am on Monday when a van carrying eight Korean women and one Cambodian man, who were driving south, collided with a truck which was stopped on the side of the road.

“This accident caused seven Korean women to get seriously injured, while one Korean woman and a Cambodian man had minor injuries and a Cambodian driver was killed,” the police said.


Batheay district police said officers were questioning those involved while the injured had been taken to hospital.

“Now we are questioning people and will offer more information soon,” an officer said.
