Khmer Circle:

China cannot change its ruling system lest it goes the way of the former
Soviet Union? Losing Tibet, Hong Kong, Taiwan...as a consequence of such a
change? Goodness me! The former Soviet Union was not dubbed by Ronald Reagan
"The Evil Empire" for nothing and China is currently assuming this
ignoble mantle to the same effect. Unlike this Xmer 'Bandit" the various
regions and nationalities now living under Chinese Communist rule [Tibetans,
Uyghurs, Mongols etc.] see their countries, histories and cultures as
somethings quite distinct and apart from those of the Han Chinese and, not
unlike several other states that had formed parts of the Soviet Union, have
been "re-united" with China by means of armed invasions and
occupations: the evil effects of which can be apparent to this day. 

Vietnam too cannot change its hegemonic ways for the same reasons?
Absolutely. Ho Chi-Minh’s and his predecessors' dreams of expansion and absorption
of weaker neighbouring states such as Laos and Cambodia would go in the way of
Georgia, Belorussia, the Ukraine, Latvia... Kampuchea Krom and Koh Tral - in
such a scenario - are then all legitimate candidates for return to their
original owner: Cambodia. That's why democratic change – among other things - is
such an uphill struggle in these parts...    

What have the Khmer people done in their past lives to deserve such a cruel
fate of living under foreign hegemonic rule and its even cruller puppet or with
the national death sentence in the guise of regional "peace and
stability"? And why have their lofty 'scholars' and 'academics' become so
brilliant and astute in their general prognosis in such life and death matters?! 

Lord Buddha bless the Khmer people if only because many of the nation's
brightest minds are being cast under dreadful [we mean powerful] spells...
