by Khmer Circle:
Divide and conquer? Blaming the so-called "Sam Rainsy group" for all the ills in the world has been a fashionable thing to do lately and, the Cambodia Daily is streets ahead in inflaming that friction. But assuming such a group was indeed responsible for causing or creating divisions within the opposition - which is still the only viable force for the country's democratic change - wouldn't there be a much more diplomatic and less self-destructive way by which to sort out such internal frictions?
The art of fermenting and exploiting the enemies' discord and disharmony has
been in practice in the Middle Kingdom for over five thousand years, and the Vietnamese
as a nation emerging out of its midst are among its most accomplished learners
and proponents! It does not follow that the Khmers or Laotians are mentally dull
or stupid merely because they tend to get swindled by the Vietnamese every time
- certainly, not all of these nations' people are since only a handful of their
rulers and ruling courtiers who make all the stately decisions on their behalf
- but the cultural and social universe they had [and still largely do]
inhabited for thousands of years had not warranted such dark and cut-throat
arts and seditions in either politics or social private life in order to
survive! Just as they never have had the need to till every available square inch of land to feed themselves.
Well, don't blame ordinary Cambodians for failing to stand up to their
dictators and traitors while those in the minority who pride themselves on
being enlightened or learned "intellectuals" keep repeating the same
naive mistakes made by their equally illustrious forefathers countless times.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

Karmasokha is at his usual silence letting others fight. Hun Sen will leave him alone.
