"Peace will be followed by democracy..."? But, Hun Sen's "peace" in Cambodia has been followed up for the last forty years with anything except real peace and democracy.
His country's 'peace' means rampant logging and deforestation in peace; ceding strips of territory to Vietnam [along with all the said logs and other rare minerals]; widespread official corruption in peace; muffling civil and political dissidents in peace, and yes, killing peace itself and democracy in peace...?
Mind you, there are opinions and schools of thought out there that insist such “peace” or “stability” has in the main been beneficial to the peoples of countries such as Vietnam and Cambodia. These same folks will occasionally pass through these parts of the world as tourists, travellers or whatever else is behind their trips, but just don’t expect them to live or remain there for too long…
In fact, even many of Hun Sen’s closest clans and kins, including a sister and her family, not to mention prominent among his corrupt ministers, spokesmen, officials etc. are known to enjoy their privileges and rights as citizens of the United States in peace away from the “Peace” he claims and boasts about daily to be providing for them in Cambodia.

This Yuon's slave Hun Sen erratically thought that he was a genius at solving conflicts. His cruelty over Khmer people could not apply in Myanmar.
In fact, without the evil Yuon behind his back, his regime should have collapsed a long time ago. Hun Sen's determination to suppress Khmer people to please his master Yuon has been working beautifully.
Ah Chker Chkuot Hun Sen has shown to his master YUon about his ruthlessness against Khmer people before he executed Yuon's orders to arrest Penn Sovann.
As of today, he has kept his promises about his faithfulness to Yuon.
