This is complete nonsense from Sar Kheng. The idea of having people sitting on the NEC - whether these people are neutral or aligned to any politica party or not - is to have representation and balance by virtue of their presence in the body rather than leaving all the dicision-making to only members of the ruling CPP as it now stands. In fact, the cheatings in the recent commune elections began at the grassroots level up with reports of irregularities taking place before, during and in the immediate aftermath of the elections with observers having been barred from the ballot counting process as well as local officials intimidating the voters through their physical presence at voting stations on voting day.

And why wouldn't non-ruling CPP members [or independent ones] of the NEC resign from the election body once the main CNRP opposition party had been arbitrarily dissolved? Who else could possibly win any election in the country without recognisable oppositions? Didn't the CPP win all the national assembly seats at the last general elections?

Kheng is the same as Sen. Both just follow their Yuon master's orders.
