Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will travel to Cambodia for a three-day official visit next week, where she will meet with King Norodom Sihamoni, Prime Minister Hun Sen and attend multiple groundbreaking ceremonies at schools in Kampong Speu and Kampong Thom provinces, according to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement yesterday.
The Princess will arrive in Cambodia on February 22nd and stay until the 24th, the statement read.
“During the visit, Princess Sirindhorn will pay a Royal courtesy call to His Majesty the King Norodom Sihamuni and will hold official talks with Prime Minister Hun Sen,” it added.
The prime minister and the Princess will preside over groundbreaking ceremony at the Technology Institute in Kampong Speu province. But Princess Sirindhorn’s schedule does not end there.
“Princess Sirindhorn and Cambodian Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron will attend the inauguration of a solar power building at the Technology Institute of the Kampong Chher Teal in Kampong Thom province.”

In addition, Princess Sirindhorn will attend the inauguration of a health center in Ratanakiri province as well as visit multiple primary schools in rural areas in the Kingdom.
Involved for about 30 years in humanitarian works in Thailand, Princess Sirindhorn has implemented many supportive programs for Thai youths, encouraging community participation to promote better nutrition and healthcare for her country’s young people.
She has also provided assistance to child and youth development programs in Cambodia, championing better education for young people in the Kingdom since 2001.
