Khmer Times reported unemployment rate in Cambodia at 0.3 percent. Wow! Almost perfect employment - no wonder Hun Sen is so proud of himself. Then why is Cambodia so poor? More than 40 years after the war, Cambodia is still relying on foreign aids for survival in comparison to Germany and Japan which were almost completely destroyed in World War II and about 20 years later, they were able to not only fully recover from the war but were able to provide foreign aids to poorer countries.
One other thing, when a Cambodian becomes unemployed, where does he/she apply for unemployment insurance? This may explain why Cambodia's unemployment rate is almost zero percent and that's probably because you can't apply for unemployment benefit! There's no such thing in Cambodia, is there?
Khmer Times only reports Hun Sen's propaganda but this one has gone a bit too far.

Khmer Times reported unemployment rate in Cambodia at 0.3 percent. This gives the impression that Cambodia has plenty of jobs. Then why did so many Cambodians have to go to neighboring countries searching for jobs, often times have to work in slave like condition? Nobody believes in Hun Sen's statistic anymore.
You can't expect much from a guy who got his Phd from Hanoi.
Begging, stealing, selling drugs, etc... are counting as job in Cambodia.

You KDOR, you are saying Cambodians are selling drugs, stealing and begging?
