Goodness me! Are we talking about the same Sihanouk that also lent his hands to the Viet Congs and their Khmer Rouge allies in the mass killings and starving to death in the millions of Cambodian populations? Granted, Sihanouk may have contributed some good deeds towards his nation but these deeds have been disproportionately outweighed by his cataclysmic errors and blunders with seemingly lasting, irreparable consequences that are still bedevilling and befalling his country and people today.   

To even consider Sihanouk as some sort of national heroic figure alongside other Khmer national heroes such as Jayavarman VII and Hemchev and an example for Khmers to look up to is an unpardonable offense to the heavens as well as the perished victims whose souls are still thirsting for justice.
