Prisoner of conscience Huynh Huu Dat, 52, from Binh Dinh Province died in Vietnam’s Xuan Loc Prison

Prisoner of conscience Huynh Huu Dat, 52, from Binh Dinh Province died in Vietnam’s Xuan Loc Prison, where he was serving a 13-year jail term on the charge of “activities aimed at overthrowing the people’s government.”

The news was released on December 14 by his mother Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hue, after she was informed via phone by her other son, who is also in Xuan Loc prison. His brother said that Huynh had died of colorectal cancer and cirrhosis of the liver.
