It's January 2022, another day in another month of another New Year in another century, but life for the common people of Cambodia of all ages - the young, the aged, children who are hardly past their toddler phase - grinds on for most in its stubborn age-old ways, driven by hunger or the dread of it rather than dreams of riches.
They can be seen - yet seldom heard - on the street sides and at rural market places everywhere on the beautiful plains of this otherwise naturally bountiful land eking out a living as best they can just as their parents and grandparents had done before them in order to live to see another dawn of another dusty, hot sweaty day, and the beauty of a tropical sunset at dusk which is still there to complete the day and usher in the evening's stars-filled, moon-lit night, but all this is rarely noticed because for most of them there isn't much time to do so as another day's dawn beckons and another busy life tomorrow awaits...
