These kind of orchestrated incidents of violence and harassment by authorities are nothing new for the Khmers of Kampuchea Krom or South Vietnam and have now been transported to the rest of Cambodia, albeit carried out through Vietnam's proxy in Hun Sen and his CPP regime. Yet, no "experts" or writers worth their salt in the region would be inclined to report on them while the civilised world - including UN rapporteurs - regularly condemn Cambodian opposition officials for inciting ethnic tension or violence with their alleged "inflammatory" anti-Vietnamese rhetoric.
